This meant so much because I think Finn was finally starting to realize that Rachel isn’t the only who sees how special he is. Like he’s starting to almost believe it you know? Not that he doesn’t believe her but she loves him, he’s her soulmate and she his so of course she’ll see the best in him and all his potential and while he believes her, he’s probably also worried that she sees the good BECAUSE she loves him or more likely that she’s the ONLY one who sees it. To have someone else whose dreams are also in the big city come and tell you you can make it and not be idealistic but instead REALISTIC and give you all the viable options and acknowledge the gifts you have and how you can use them is just incredible.
Yes Kurt’s his brother but he’s only been in his life for the past 3 years, been his brother for less than that. He’s not obligated to believe in him and even if he were that isn’t what is happening here. Burt’s his step-dad yet all he’s talked about is Finn taking over the shop because in all fairness he doesn’t know what Finn wants to do. Finn probably doesn’t want Burt knowing about his engagement to Rachel yet because Finn knows come rain or shine he’s going with her to NYC and he obviously hasn’t told Burt that. Kurt? It’s not a question. He knows Finn belongs there. NYC is a metaphor for bigger things, a place of MORE for all of them and he knows Finn is more. Just like Rachel does.
I should stop my text spam on this lovely gif and just end with this:
